Cognosante has acquired Vienna, Va.-based Enterprise Information Services for an undisclosed sum as part of strategic growth efforts to further build up its contract vehicles portfolio and broaden federal market offerings.
Cognosante said Monday it will operate EIS as a wholly owned subsidiary and that EIS President Vinod Goyal will report directly to Michele Kang, founder and CEO of Cognosante.
“EIS’ proven success in enterprise services, biometrics and cyber security provides expanded capabilities to offer to our existing customers, while bringing an exciting collection of new customers and relationships,” Kang said.
Established in 1994, EIS provides cybersecurity, cloud migration, biometrics, application development, program management and information technology operations support to the intelligence community, the departments of Defense and Homeland Security and federal civilian agencies.
Cognosante will allow EIS to retain its name and the leadership team to continue to oversee daily operations in an effort to minimize disruption to employees and clients.
