NASA has extended the ordering period for the current iteration of its Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement vehicle for information technology equipment and services until April 30, 2025.
According to the SEWP V website, the agency exercised option 1 on the governmentwide acquisition contract that originally ran from May 1, 2015, through April 30 of this year.
NASA noted it is also temporarily authorizing the closing of requests for quotations in one business day and will comply with the Trump administration’s directive to increase the micropurchase and simplified acquisition thresholds.
Government buyers are currently allowed to leverage simplified acquisition procedures to procure up to $13 million in commercial items, according to a separate notice.
The agency added that it will “remain fully open and operational” but deliveries might be impacted due to facility shutdowns amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The SEWP program has 140 prime contractors and 110 small businesses that offer IT platforms in areas such as cloud computing, software, telecommunications, health care, storage, video conferencing and security.
