CACI International (NYSE: CACI) has received a potential five-year, $112M task order to support the U.S. Army’s research and development activities in technical areas such as networked communications, modeling and simulation.

The company said Monday it will work with the Army's Systems Engineering, Architecture, Modeling and Simulations Division to facilitate experiments and address requirements in support of the service branch’s Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center.

Work under the task order includes systems engineering, integration support, data analysis and other network-related assistance for various communication platforms such as tactical radios and satellites.

The Army issued the award under the Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Service contract vehicle, on which the company secured a spot in 2018.

John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI and a 2020 Wash100 Award recipient, said the award demonstrates the company’s expertise in providing R&D services to support the SEAMS Division and Army Futures Command missions.

The company also provides R&D support to the Cyber Security and Information Assurance division within the Army’s Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate under a separate $465M order.
