DynCorp International has received a nine-month, $185M task order extension for base operations and maintenance support to U.S. Army personnel assigned in Southern Afghanistan.
Services under the extended contract will require the deployment of more than 2,900 workers to various locations across the region, the company said Monday.
Work will include facility management, electricity and water supply, waste and hazardous material management, activity planning, equipment handling and airfield operations support.
Army Sustainment Command awarded the extension under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program IV contract. More than 17K NATO forces perform missions as part of Operation Freedom Sentinel in Afghanistan, according to DynCorp.
The company has supported the program over the past 11 years.
