Jeffrey Lowinger, former president of the eMobility business at power management company Eaton, will officially join Cubic (NYSE: CUB) on April 27 as a senior vice president and president of its transportation systems business.

He brings an extensive background in strategic leadership, profit and loss accounts and engineering, program and entrepreneurial management experience to his new position, Cubic said Tuesday.

Bradley Feldmann — president, chairman and CEO of Cubic and a former Wash100 recipient — said Lowinger will help drive the CTS unit’s performance through the implementation of “NextCity” innovations such as multimodal transportation approaches and digital business models.

Lowinger led Eaton’s P&L functions for vehicle power management systems in his previous capacity. He also managed technology maturation efforts for vehicle, hydraulics and aerospace offerings within its industrial sector business.

He spent 25 years at Boeing (NYSE: BA) in engineering leadership roles and held an executive VP position at Textron‘s (NYSE: TXT) Bell subsidiary.

In the same announcement, Cubic said acting CTS President Laurent Eskenazi will transition to new roles as SVP and managing director of North American operations. He previously served as managing director of operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

David Wear, acting manager of the EMEA segment, will assume the post on a full-time basis.
