The U.S. Air Force and Scaled Agile have formed a public-private partnership to provide recommendations on how to implement the Scale Agile Framework in a DevSecOps context in compliance with the Department of Defense’s Enterprise DevSecOps initiative.
The service branch and Scaled Agile will collaborate how to tailor the latter’s SAFe to meet DoD’s DevSecOps processes and create training collateral with use cases of SAFe implementation in accordance with the Pentagon’s enterprise DevSecOps vision.
“We are looking forward to providing guidelines on the best way to adjust and implement the Scale Agile Framework as an enabler to DevSecOps and Platform One,” said Nicolas Chaillan, chief software officer at the Air Force. “Tools and guidelines for this fast growing approach are important to ensure its widespread adoption and use, across the DoD, and into commercial development too.”
The organizations will also work on a pathfinder program to develop new practices and help advance the adoption of DevSecOps approaches through the partnership, which reflects a new phase in the modernization of software development processes.
