GE Aviation Secures $138M USAF Aircraft Engine Supplies Contract

Jeff Brody

General Electric’s aviation business has secured a potential $138.2M contract to provide TF-34 aircraft turbofan engine supplies to the U.S. Air Force.

The firm-fixed-price award contains a five-year base period that runs through Sept. 30, 2025, followed by a five-year option period, the Department of Defense said Monday.

TF-34s power the Air Force’s A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft, manufactured by Fairchild Republic, and the Navy’s S-3 Viking aircraft, produced by Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT).

GE said 2,100 engines have logged more than 13M flight hours across peace and combat missions.
