AECOM (NYSE: ACM) has appointed Jannet Walker-Ford senior vice president of transportation strategy, growth and key accounts for the Design and Consulting Services Americas business, the company announced on Thursday.
“As the transportation industry in the Americas continues to evolve, we are always seeking new and innovative ways to better serve the needs of our clients, which is why we’re looking to bring on key talent like Jannet to our growing business,” said Michael Renshaw, AECOM’s interim transportation business line leader for DCSA.
“Jannet’s deep and broad experience across so many aspects of transportation, coupled with her background in client engagement and strategic marketing, will help enable our continued growth and our ability to deliver for our clients.”
Walker-Ford brings over 20 years of industry experience, including transportation systems and technology, aviation, transit, railway, tolling and procurement models including P3 and design/build projects. In her new role, she will help guide AECOM’s engagement with key clients in this critical market.
Most recently, Walker-Ford was VP at Cubic (NYSE: CUB) in charge of strategy and government affairs. She previously worked as deputy chief executive officer and executive VP at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. She also held executive positions at Parsons (NYSE: PSN), CH2M, Hill International and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
Walker-Ford was also recently elected to serve as vice-chair of the Women’s Transportation Seminar international board and currently is vice-chair of the WTS foundation board.
She serves as a board trustee at Jacksonville University, chair of the American Public Transportation Foundation and chair and ENO transportation adviser for the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville.
