A potential $3.9B contract for information technology services to support the U.S. Army’s hardware and software is slated for re-competition ahead of its predecessor award's expiration in August 2023, Bloomberg Government reported Friday.
The Army seeks feedback on the five-year Common Hardware Systems 6th Generation contract, which will include technical support for communications platforms, integration services, software development, fielding and testing support, maintenance work and installation services.
Total CHS-5 spending obligations has reached $605M since fiscal year 2018, according to BGOV.
The service branch has obligated a total of $2.8B to General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), the the sole awardee for both CHS-4 and 5 contracts, to date.
Interested parties can submit responses to the Army’s request for information for CHS-6 through March 17.
