Jacobs (NYSE: J) has secured a potential eight-year, $418.9M contract from Naval Facilities Engineering Command to help manage operations at U.S. Navy installations located within the Washington state's Jefferson and Kitsap counties.
The company said Thursday it will help the service branch manage facilities, fire and emergency systems, pavement clearance, wastewater, utilities, support platforms and medical and environmental programs under the West Sound base operating support contract.
"We will deploy agile technical and management approaches across all elements of the WSBOS enterprise while making safety a priority in all that we do," said Steve Arnette, senior vice president for critical mission solutions at Jacobs.
The WSBOS contract has a negotiated $52.3M award value and would reach its potential value if NAVFAC exercises all seven 12-month options.
Work is scheduled to commence on April 1.
The service branch hosts surface vessels, fleet ballistic missile submarines and nuclear-powered underwater craft platforms at Naval Base Kitsap.
