Peraton has secured a potential $218.6M blanket purchase agreement covering satellite communications services to U.S. African Command and its mission partners.

The company said Tuesday it will use satellites and emerging technology platforms from multiple commercial operators to support Africom as well as provide support through a network operations center.

David Myers, president of Peraton's communications sector, said the company uses an approach to apply available commercial platforms to support customer missions "without being dependent on any particular satellite fleet or vendor assets."

U.S. Air Force Space Command and the Defense Information Systems Agency issued the BPA under the Future Commercial SATCOM Acquisition program.

Peraton noted it currently supports Africom through other FCSA task orders, contract vehicles and industry partnerships.
