Booz Allen Gets $147M NIAID IT Support Contract; Roman Salasznyk Quoted

Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) has received a potential five-year, $147.4M contract to provide information technology support for the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Work under the contract includes development and maintenance of clinical regulatory support systems, electronic document management and document workflows, learning management tools and other enterprise applications, Booz Allen said Monday.

The company will also provide support for NIAID’s office of computer infrastructure and computational biology across business process automation, open source platforms, machine learning, clinical research and records and document management areas.

Roman Salasznyk, a vice president and life science lead at Booz Allen, said the company will leverage its talent pool and knowledge in federal IT modernization and life science to deliver technical platforms and help NIAID fulfill its mission to advance research and speed up scientific discoveries to protect public health.
