Alion Science and Technology has received a potential 48-month, $248M contract from the U.S. Navy to build and integrate live, virtual and constructive training systems and architecture for use in advanced warfighter training.

The contract covers research, development, engineering and testing services in support of the Navy Continuous Training Environment, Integrating Architecture Development program, Alion said Thursday.

Katie Selbe, senior vice president and general manager of Alion’s cyber network solutions group, said the company is dedicated to delivering software, networking, simulations and virtual technologies in support of the Navy’s tactical training environment.

“It is imperative that live and synthetic training environments excel at providing real world mission rehearsal support for our warfighters,” Selbe added.

The contract is supported by the Department of Defense’s Information Analysis Center Program Management Office.
