Seagate Technology, LLC, parent firm of Seagate Government Solutions (SGS), announced on Tuesday that the company has become the storage provider to have a certified supply chain to Mitigate Maliciously Tainted and Counterfeit Products.
“Seagate continues to lead the storage industry in security compliance. This is a significant milestone for Seagate, our partners and the end users, said Mike Moritzkat, CEO of SGS. “With the added emphasis on data protection and secure supply chain, we see these pieces as crucial in assisting our partners and clients in keeping their data safe.”
The company was the first storage vendor to support NIST FIPS standard, the first and only storage vendor to achieve NIAP/Common Criteria and the only storage vendor to provide TAA compliant hard drives (HDDs) and solid state drives (SSDs).
In addition, Seagate’s Enterprise and Internal Hard Disc Drive (HDD) product lines have received a third party assessed certification for the rigorous O-TTPS 1.1.1 ISO/IEC 20243:2018 certification. The storage security leader achieves another milestone with the O-TTPS 1.1.1 ISO/IEC 20243:2018 certification to ensure supply chain security for hard drives.
