Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) has won a potential five-year, $954M task order to support the U.S. Air Force in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions throughout the service branch’s African and European areas of responsibility.

HII said Thursday it will provide manned and unmanned ISR platforms as part of the Persistent Multi-Role Operations task order, which contains one base year plus four option years.

The company aims to assist Department of Defense components, such as U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa,  in efforts to maintain stability and security across theaters of operation.

Garry Schwartz, president of HII’s mission driven innovative solutions group, said the company has provided ISR services to the Air Force and DoD over the past few years and is looking forward to continuing its support.

The General Services Administration’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center awarded the task order under the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract.
