TYSONS CORNER, VA, December 27, 2019 ” The North Texas Emergency Communications Center updated public safety call routing in four areas through an AT&T (NYSE: T) IP network service, ExecutiveBiz reported Dec. 16.

AT&T ESInet is designed to help public safety answering points manage 9-1-1 calls and texts, distribute calls to other PSAP locations when an expected surge in volume occurs and maintain service in the event of a man-made or a natural disaster, the company said Dec. 12.

The center handles emergency calls for the town of Addison and the cities of Carrollton, Coppell and Farmers Branch.

œWe are proud to work with the NTECC in providing advanced technologies to support these growing cities and help them improve the call experience for those in need, said Stacy Schwartz, vice president of public safety and FirstNet at AT&T.
