Jeff Brody

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received a one-year, $400M contract modification to engineer B-1 Lancer and B-52 Stratofortress bomber planes for the U.S. Air Force.

The company will continue to provide recurring and non-recurring engineering services at multiple USAF stations under the modification, the Department of Defense said Monday.

DoD noted the original contract’s potential value is $800M.

Locations of work include Edwards AF Base in California, Tinker AFB in Oklahoma and Barksdale AFB in Louisiana.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center is obligating $36M in fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

Boeing will also update B-1 and B-52 weapons systems under a separate $14.31B contract awarded in April.
