L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has won a potential five-year, $100M contract to update 1.2-meter-aperture satellite communications terminals for the U.S. Special Operations Command.
The company will provide service life extension support for SOCOM’s Satellite Deployable Node-Medium under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.
SDN-Medium terminals are designed to operate in the Ka, Ku and X frequency bands.
The command awarded the IDIQ, which has three base years plus two option years, after a full and open competition and will obligate $5K in fiscal 2019 procurement funds at the time of award.
Contract work will take place in Victor, N.Y., and is projected to conclude by December 2024 if all options are exercised.
