A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business unit has received a potential five-year, $300M contract to perform support work on missile system components for the U.S. Ohio-class and UK Vanguard-class submarines.
The companys mission systems business will provide equipment support and other services for Trident II D-5 weapon’s fire and weapon control systems from fiscal 2020 through fiscal 2023, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Strategic Systems Programs in Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity and will obligate $43.9M at the time of award.
Ninety percent of contract work will occur in Pittsfield, Mass., and the remaining 10 percent at various locations in Georgia, Washington, Virginia and Florida.
The Pentagon expects GDMS to complete services by Dec. 30, 2024.
