Dan Deans, former senior vice president for corporate development at Millennium Engineering and Integration, has been promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer as part of the companys reorganization effort.
Deans, an 11-year veteran at the Arlington, Va.-based engineering firm, will report to CEO Patrick Murphy and manage overall operations and contracting activities across its four business units, MEI said Friday.
He will also continue leading the companys corporate development activities until a successor takes over such duties.
Before joining MEI in 2009, Deans served as VP at ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) and held leadership roles at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC), SRS Technologies, The Dow Chemical Company and MEI Technologies.
According to Murphy, Deans brings more than a decade of experience in personnel management, customer relations and company leadership to his new role.
In addition to Deans promotion, Millennium also appointed Kylie Allen as EVP and chief financial officer; Kathryn Gaulke as VP; Larry Foor as business unit president and general manager of aerospace systems; and Porf Dubón as VP for strategies and analysis.
MEI is a veteran-owned small business that offers space, defense and intelligence services to U.S. government and private sector entities.
