Jeff Brody

A subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has received a one-year, $145.7M contract modification to continue integrated planning yard efforts for the U.S. Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyers.

The service branch exercised an option on a previously awarded contract with Bath Iron Works and allocated  $2.1M in fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds for the modification, Department of Defense said Thursday.

Bath Iron Works received a potential $719M contract in February to provide design, planning, logistics and  material kitting support to DDG 51 vessels.

Work under the modification runs through January 2021 and will take place in Bath, Maine.
