Ball Aerospace, Infoscitex Win Potential $135M Air Force R&D IDIQ

Ball Aerospace and Infoscitex won a shared contract with a combined potential value of $135M to perform research and development services to support the U.S. Air Force™s efforts to improve situational awareness and decision-making.

Work under the Airman Decision Making and Interface Research contract includes R&D as well as demonstration support for technical areas such as battlespace acoustics and visualization, supervisory control and cognition, aerospace physiology and applied neuroscience, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Contract work will take place at Wright-Patterson AF Base in Ohio through Feb. 23, 2026.

The Air Force Research Laboratory received five offers for the cost-plus-fixed-fee and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and will obligate at the time of award $263.5K and $200K in fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds.

Infoscitex is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, and offers a range of aerospace R&D services for DoD entities including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, AFRL and Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
