Perspecta‘s (NYSE: PRSP) applied research arm has been selected to receive a 2019 Industry Innovator award for introducing three cybersecurity technology platforms through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agencys Rapid Attack Detection, Isolation and Characterization Systems program.
Under the RADICS initiative, Perspecta Labs demonstrated its SHERLOC cyber-weapon hunting system, MANTESSA situational awareness and cyber-physical detection platform and DADC tool that works to generate configurations for an emergency network, the company said Wednesday.
Mac Curtis, president and CEO at Perspecta and a 2019 Wash100 Award recipient, said the company’s research lab uses emerging technology to help customers address missions and challenges.
The RADICS program sought platforms that could help recover infrastructure in the event of a cyber attack on the U.S. energy grid system. The departments of Energy and Homeland Security worked with DARPA to test Sherloc, Mantessa and DADC during six exercises.
Perspecta will accept the award at 1105 Media’s Government Innovation Awards ceremony on Nov. 7.
