Two teams led by Carahsoft Technology and Grant Thornton have received task orders under the General Services Administration™s potential $2.5 billion NewPay blanket purchase agreement to modernize payroll processing systems that support more than 2.2M federal civilian workers.
GSA said Thursday that it aims to implement a standardized Software as a Service platform that will consolidate government payroll functions in accordance with the President’s Management Agenda for 2019.
“NewPay task orders are an important step in modernizing our federal payroll system as we move forward in providing quality shared services,” said Emily Murphy, administrator of GSA and a 2019 Wash100 Award winner.
The agency first announced its selection of the winning industry teams for the BPA in September 2018. The Carahsoft-led team, which includes Immix Technology and Deloitte™s consulting practice, will deliver platforms based on Kronos and SAP technologies. Grant Thornton leads a group composed of The Arcanum Group and CGI‘s (NYSE: GIB) federal arm to provide Infor services.
