Mitre has joined Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and Kratos Defense and Security Solutions (Nasdaq: KTOS) as a founding member of the Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center, Dark Reading reported Monday.
ISACs are government-supported industrial organizations that analyze and spread threat information to stakeholders. The newly established Space ISAC focuses on the cybersecurity of space systems.
Mitre brings safety, security and reliability expertise to help government and commercial entities manage data and make decisions to protect space assets.
Scott Kordella, executive director for space at Mitre, will join Space ISAC’s board of directors.
“The new Space ISAC aims to help gather, analyze and disseminate critical cyber threat information related to space among the Federal, commercial and international community and advances the 2018 National Cyber Strategys priority to enhance space cybersecurity,” said Garrett Marquis, spokesperson of the White House National Security Council.
