Applied Research Associates Wins $240M Contract to Support DTRA’s Counter-WMD Operations

Applied Research Associates has won a potential 10-year, $240M contract to provide operational support tools to aid the Defense Threat Reduction Agency in countering risks from weapons of mass destruction.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will include research, development,  decision support analysis and technical reachback operational support, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Work will take place at multiple agency-run facilities within Fort Belvoir in Virginia.

DTRA received two offers for the IDIQ and is obligating $150K at the time of award.

Albuquerque, N.M.-based ARA offers scientific research and engineering services in the national security, infrastructure, energy environment and health care areas.
