ARES Technical Services Corporation has won a potential seven-year, $115.3M contract to support a NASA program focused on developing facilities and systems necessary to launch rockets and space vehicles.
The Burlingame, Calif.-based government services provider will provide business and program management, administrative, technical and engineering support to the Exploration Ground Systems program at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center, NASA said Wednesday.
Tasks also include design, planning, integration, analysis, compliance and operational services for spaceflight and ground-based platforms. The cost-plus fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period that will commence on Oct. 1 and work could extend through Sept. 30, 2026, if all options are exercised.
NASA noted the EGS program seeks to transform KSC into a spaceport that would accommodate government and commercial spacecraft and launch vehicles.
