Three of the nine companies holding positions on the General Services Administration™s potential 15-year, $50B contract vehicle for telecommunication services could obtain œauthority to operate certifications by the end of the third quarter, FCW reported Friday.

Data from GSA showed that L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX), BT Federal and Core Technologies are all 91.3 percent done with the business system support test phase that vendors must complete in order to fully proceed on the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions contract.

Alan Thomas, commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service, said during a recent industry event that he expects all EIS contract holders to achieve ATOs by the end of the year.

GSA selected AT&T (NYSE: T), CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL), Level 3 Communications, Verizon (NYSE: VZ), Core Technologies, Granite Telecommunications, Harris, Manhattan Telecommunications, BT Federal and MicroTech in August 2017 to bid for orders to provide telecom services that include cloud and network infrastructure support work.

CenturyLink completed its acquisition of Level 3 in November 2017 and was the first company to secure ATO on the contract early in March 2019.

The agency granted the designation to Verizon and AT&T in the latter part of the same month.

L3Harris was formed last month as a result of the all-stock merger between Harris and L3 Technologies.
