Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) has secured a 60-month, $87.7 million contract to help the U.S. Navy’s Forces Surveillance Support Center in Virginia engineer an over-the-horizon radar system.

The company will provide engineering and programmatic services under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Work under the sole-source award will occur through August 2024 at various locations in Virginia, Massachusetts, Texas, Ohio, Colorado, Puerto Rico, England, Australia and Washington, D.C.

The service branch will obligate $2 million at the time of award from its fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds.

Raytheon supported the operation and maintenance of the relocatable OTH radar under a $104.9M contract awarded in 2016.

The system is designed to collect and transmit data for the service branch to evaluate, interpret and track aircraft and vessels.
