Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a four-year, $492.1M contract to supply High Mobility Artillery Rocket System launchers, software and associated parts to the U.S. Army.

The company will also help the service branch maintain and test M142 HIMARS units as well as train personnel to operate the system, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Army Contracting Command solicited one bid for the fixed-price-incentive contract and obligated $66.4M at the time of award.

Work will take place in various U.S. locations through May 30, 2023.

The HIMARS launcher is designed to carry six-pack Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems or one Army Tactical Missile System and is deployable from a C-130 military aircraft.
