Braxton Secures $100M Air Force Contract to Help Develop Enterprise Satellite Ground Infrastructure

Jeff Brody

Braxton Technologies-led industry team has won a potential $100M contract to develop a prototype of infrastructure  designed to help the U.S. Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center manage satellite operations on the ground.

The company will develop and integrate the Enterprise Ground Services platform under the Phase III Small Business Innovative Research contract, which has an initial value of $20M, AFSPC said Friday.

EGS is a federated suite of services meant to facilitate interoperability of tactical command-and-control functions and help address operational challenges across the Air Force space enterprise.

The military service intends for these services to eventually reflect common service requirements across mission areas that are essential to satellite C2 operations.

Colorado-based Braxton will lead a team composed of ASRC Federal, Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Science Applications International Corp., Space Ground Systems Solutions, Ingenicomm, Aurora Cybersecurity, LinQuest, Rocket Communications and Bluestaq.
