Viasat Secures $450M GSA IDIQ for Military Systems, Services

Viasat (Nasdaq: VSAT) landed a potential $450M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the General Services Administration to provide technology platforms and services for both special operations and general purpose forces.

U.S. military personnel can order equipment to support communications, security, operational and intelligence functions through the Rapid Migration of Command, Control, Communications and Computers/Cyber Best Practices contract, Viasat said Tuesday.

The sole-source IDIQ is intended to help the Department of Defense address immediate requirements of the armed forces in areas such as cybersecurity, broadband satellite communications technology and mobile networking.

According to Viasat, its products and services completed the assessment, testing and validation procedures before the offerings were included on the contract vehicle.
