The Department of Defense said Tuesday IBM will work to establish manufacturing flows at contractor fabrication facilities as part of the Trusted Foundry Access II program and an open commercial environment for procurement of classified and trusted mask and wafer fabrication.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract also covers a wide range of semiconductor offerings, subject matter expertise and consulting services.
DoD expects the program to increase the security of the commercial environment that facilitates government access to technology manufacturing approaches for both classified and trusted systems.
Contract work will take place in Vermont, New York, Maryland, Quebec and Idaho.
