An Executive Healthcare Services report says data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showed that 22 states have reported more than 700 cases of measles to the agency as of April 19.

According to the medical group practice, five of every seven measles cases in the U.S. are found in people who did not undergo vaccination and the virus can spread through sneezing and coughing.
EHS noted that some of the symptoms of the infection are comparable to that of common upper respiratory conditions such high fever, cough, runny nose, red rash, conjunctivitis or pink eye and white spots in the mouth.
Two doses of the MMR vaccine can provide individuals protection against measles by up to 97 percent, according to the healthcare provider. For individuals seeking to have their immunity to measles, rubella and mumps checked, EHS recommended a blood test or a titer.
