East Coast Repair to Help Modernize Navy Warships Under Potential $377M IDIQ

East Coast Repair and Fabrication has landed a potential $376.9M firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to help the U.S. Navy modernize, repair or maintain surface combatant and amphibious vessels stationed in Mayport, Fla.

The IDIQ has an initial value of $212.9M and covers support for the naval warships of the service branch’s DDG, CG, LSD, LPD and LHD classes, the Department of Defense said Monday.

The Navy issued the award through rolling admissions of an existing multiple-award lot 1 contract.

Chesapeake, Va.-based ECR will initially perform work through November 2019 and may extend its services for another year if all options are exercised.

The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center received one bid for the competitively solicited contract on the FedBizOpps website and will obligate $10K in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

ECR offers ship construction, repair, fabrication, welding, preservation coating and mobile repair services to military and commercial clients.
