Honeywell to Develop Turbine Tech Under Potential $150M Air Force Contract


Honeywell (NYSE: HON) has won a potential eight-year, $150M contract to develop an aircraft technology under the first phase of the U.S. Air Force’s Advanced Turbine Technologies for Affordable Mission-Capability program.

The Department of Defense said Thursday the company’s aerospace business will perform work in Phoenix, Ariz., and is expected to finish by Feb. 20, 2027.

Fifty-four offers were submitted to the Air Force Research Laboratory for the contract via a competitive acquisition process.

USAF will obligate $340K on the first task order from its fiscal 2018 and fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds.

The service previously awarded ATTAM Phase I contracts to Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), GE Aviation, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce.
