The Navy exercised an option under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to buy 78 Integrated Defensive Electronic Countermeasures Onboard Jammer systems as part of the program’s lot 16 full rate production, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
IDECM OBJ is designed to protect aircraft and aircrew against advanced radio frequency threats.
DoD added the company will supply 16 weapon replacement assembly receiver and processors and 27 WRA modulators.
Fifty-nine percent of work will occur in New Jersey, 14 percent in California and the remaining 12 percent in various locations across the U.S.
The Pentagon expects work under the exercised option to finish in May 2022.
