The company’s rotary and mission systems business will deliver the Trident II D5 Strategic Weapon System component for submarines of the Navy’s Columbia class and the U.K.’s Dreadnought class, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Work under the sole-source contract is scheduled to occur through Sept. 30, 2021.
The Navy will provide $142.2M in fiscal 2019 funds and the U.K. government will obligate $24.9M at the time of award.
Trident II D5 missiles are currently deployed on the two countries’ Ohio-class and Vanguard-class submarines.
