TYSONS CORNER, VA, November 19, 2018 Jerry Parker, a senior vice president at CACI International (NYSE: CACI), has said the company is exploring an open architecture system that will work to process multiple radio-frequency signals in line with a U.S. Army effort to develop such a technology, ExecutiveBiz reported Oct. 16.
C4ISRNet reported Oct. 15 that the Army is particularly interested in software, instead of hardware, that can detect and interpret signals across the electromagnetic spectrum as Russia and China are also using software capabilities that enable rapid switching of signals and signatures.
Parker, SVP for command, control, computers, communications, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and electronic warfare at CACI, said during an event in October that an open architecture software system will enable government and other users to use just a single platform even as the signals change.
