Accenture’s Federal Arm Gets $501M USDA Cloud Migration Support Contract


Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal arm has secured a potential 10-year, $501.2M contract to develop a cloud computing system for the Agriculture Department based on SAP HANA database technology.

Accenture Federal Services will support installation, configuration, transition and hosting of USDA financial operations enterprise in an enterprise-grade cloud environment, the company said Wednesday.

AFS is also helping the department manage applications with SAP National Security ServicesSecure HANA Cloud platform.

The USDA aims to migrate data from its data center to cloud infrastructure designed to support networking, storage and infrastructure applications.

AFS’ other team members on the project are Carahsoft Technology, ManpowerGroup‘s public sector business and Louisiana Technology Group.
