General Dynamics Wins Potential $96M Navy BPA for Cloud IT Services

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) business has secured a potential five-year, $95.8M blanket purchase agreement to provide cloud services for the U.S. Navy.

The BPA has a one-year base term worth approximately $22.4M and four option years and was awarded through General Dynamics Information Technology™s position on the General Services Administration™s Schedule 70 contract, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

GDIT will work with Carahsoft, Beyond20 and Minburn Technology Group as well as cloud services providers Amazon Web Services and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) to support the Navy™s cloud adoption efforts under the BPA.

General Dynamics inherited the contract from CSRA, which the former acquired in April.

Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command awarded the BPA through a competitive procurement process with four quotations received via GSA™s eBUY portal.

The agreement includes software as a service, platform as a service, infrastructure as a service and other offerings that comply with DoD’s Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide at impact levels 2, 4 and 5.
