Army Contracting Command received 187 bids for the ITES-3 Services contract, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
The contractors will compete for task orders under several areas: cybersecurity; enterprise design, consolidation and integration; IT services; business process re-engineering; IT education and training; telecommunications/systems operation and maintenance; IT supply chain management; network/systems operation and maintenance, according to the performance work statement.
The service will obligate funds and determine performance locations upon award of each task order and expects work to run through Sept. 23, 2027.
The Army selected 17 companies in February 2016 for the potential five-year, $5B ITES-3 Hardware contract.
The contract award came two years after the military branch issued a formal solicitation for ITES-3s services portion.
