Leigh Palmer, formerly senior vice president of the national security division at General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business, has succeeded Ken Deutsch as SVP of defense portfolio within the same unit, the Washington Business Journal reported Friday.
Palmer led CSRA‘s intelligence group before its acquisition by General Dynamics through an approximately $9.7B deal that closed early in April.
She previously held various leadership roles at BAE Systems U.S. subsidiary and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).
Kelly Ferrell, former head of the health and civilian and intelligence divisions within the GDIT business, has taken a new role as the unit’s chief growth officer.
Ferrell succeeds George Batsakis, who is now the defense portfolio lead at Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal services business.
Her industry career has also included management positions at Computer Sciences Corp., Northrop and Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH).
