Lynn Lannin and Chad Kelly of digital transformation services provider Publicis.Sapient have said developing mobile applications on the cloud could help federal, local and state agencies streamline the delivery of services to citizens.
Kelly and Lannin wrote how the 311 contact centers and other cloud-based apps work to help citizens quickly report issues to agencies and how agile methodology speeds up the app development process.
They noted that such a methodology helps deliver a tool in small, frequent increments, offers feedback at the early stage of development, guides the development of a platform in order to meet the needs of end users.
Agile methodology recognizes that circumstances change over the course of a project, they added.
Lannin is vice president of professional services for Publicis.Sapients Salesforce practice, while Kelly is senior director of technical architecture for the companys Salesforce practice.
