Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems Concludes 9th ISS Cargo Resupply Mission


TYSONS CORNER, VA, August 1, 2018 ” A Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems-built (NYSE: NOC) Cygnus spacecraft that launched in May to deliver an estimated 7,400 pounds of supplies to the International Space Station and perform secondary space missions reentered Earth’s atmosphere Monday after a 52-day stay at the space observatory, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The company said Monday the spacecraft dubbed S.S. J.R. Thompson carried more than 6,600 pounds of material that it had removed from the space station as it made a safe destructive reentry over the Pacific Ocean to complete its ninth cargo resupply mission for NASA‘s Commercial Resupply Services program.
