OSI Systems to Help Maintain CBP Inspection Systems Under Potential $140M IDIQ


The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has awarded OSI Systems™ (Nasdaq: OSIS) security division a potential five-year, $140 million contract to help maintain equipment CBP uses to inspect vehicles, cargo and parcels.

OSI said Thursday it received a $25 million initial delivery order to provide maintenance, logistics, parts and program management support for agency inspection systems that were manufactured by the firm’s Rapiscan Systems and American Science and Engineering businesses.

Deepak Chopra, chairman and CEO of OSI, the company aims to support CBP in counter-drug and anti-terrorism efforts through the contract.
