Ed Sheehan Jr.

TYSONS CORNER, VA, June 22, 2018 ” Concurrent Technologies Corp. has received an approximately $1 million contract to help design and test a light cart system that could lessen the U.S. Air Force‘s reliance on and consumption of petroleum fuel for lighting requirements, ExecutiveBiz reported Wednesday.

The company said Tuesday it will work with the Air Force Research Laboratory to incorporate multiple technologies and control strategies into the Advanced Flightline Power and Light System, which will feature an energy storage function, energy-efficient lighting and various modes of operation.

“For this project, we are using a traditional system engineering approach designed for a swift transition into the Air Force inventory,” said Ed Sheehan Jr., president and CEO of CTC.
