Chris Bauer, a more than 25-year government contracting industry veteran, has joined Valiant Integrated Services as a senior vice president and chief operating officer of the firms national security and mission support division.
Bauer will lead the delivery of knowledge-based services such as intelligence analysis and language services as well as cyber threat protection services as part of the companys national security business line, Valiant said Monday.
He will also oversee Valiants specialized training services portfolio that includes simulations; manned and unmanned aviation; physical security; coarse development; equipment and defense tactics; and marine and naval operations.
Valiant CEO James Jaska said Bauer, 2016 Wash100 recipient, will help the company grow its business and provide services to clients in support of their missions.
Prior to Valiant, Bauer previously served as group VP for civilian agencies at Unisys (NYSE: UIS) federal business and worked at AECOM (NYSE: ACM) as executive VP and general manager of systems engineering and information solutions business.
He also held senior leadership roles at Dell, American Systems and Triple-I Corp.
Valiant announced Bauers appointment a week after the firm completed its approximately $135 million cash acquisition of Cubics (NYSE: CUB) global defense services business.
