Lockheed Martin’s Michele Evans Appointed Deputy EVP for Aeronautics BU; Orlando Carvalho Comments

Bethesda, Md.-based firm Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has promoted Michele Evans, an executive at its rotary and mission systems unit, to serve as the company™s deputy executive vice president for the aeronautics division starting June 4.

The aerospace and defense company said Monday Evans will oversee several initiatives such as the F-35, F-16, C-130 and Advanced Development Programs under the Skunk Works organization.

She will also coordinate with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics EVP Orlando Carvalho in efforts to address customer demand and expand the business.

“Aligning program leadership to her will enable us to maintain and enhance best practices; and further build a cohesive, strategic operating rhythm for our programs,” said Carvalho.

Evans currently serves as VP and general manager for integrated warfare systems and sensors within Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, where she directed the Littoral Combat Ship program, Aegis Combat Systems and sea-based missile defense efforts.

Paul Lemmo, VP of fire control and the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services program, will succeed Evans as head of integrated warfare systems and sensors at Lockheed RMS.
