The order falls under a potential $600 Navy million contracting vehicle for the supply of Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System rockets to the U.S. military and allied nations, BAE said Tuesday.
Defense Department-qualified APKWS works to increase the precision capacity of 70-millimeter rockets used on rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft platforms.
The company has estimated that additional orders will to bring the number of APKWS units for the current production lot to 17,500.
BAE produces the rockets at its facilities located in New Hampshire and Texas.
